Bancal de los Pérez is a rustic holiday cottage featuring the traditional "La Alpujarra" style, and has been recently refurbished using local materials such as stone and wood. It is near the Barranco Poqueira, between Carataunas and Pampaneira.

In addition to the house, the farm is approximately one hectare and planted with olive, almond, orange trees... Guests can pick up home-grown tomatoes, onions, peppers or other vegetables (all organic). The property is fenced.

The house combines the charm of old farms - tools, fixtures and switches of the time - with modern comfort.

Location:

The cottage is located in Carataunas, near the "Ermita del Padre Eterno", just one km form the road to Pampaneira and the natural park (central Alpujarra), and features beautiful views of canyons, mountains and valleys. One of the traditional canals watering the rich lowland area in Orgiva runs on the south side.

It is a splendid farmhouse with great history that has been passed from father to son for generations. The current owner knows the traditional culture and customs of La Alpujarra.

You can hear partridge singing and fox yelping when in season.
