Our green resort was created specifically for families. That is why we designed these holiday cottages to sleep 4. La Alberguería has also 2 extra beds available.

Located on a 300-hectare forest estate including some magnificent specimens of ancient oaks, in La Alquería Valley.

La Alberguería originated in the documented fact that in the 15th century,in this exact location, there was a Pilgrim hostel existed at Trujillo-Guadalupe and Seville-Guadalupe crossroad.

Each home has a maximum capacity of 6, and consists of 2 en suite bedrooms, large living room and fully equipped kitchen.

The holiday cottages:
Our green resort consists of 4 holiday cottgaes, 3 of which (Tomillo, Romero y Yerbabuena) are in the same building and the fourth - La Jara - is 200 m away from the others. All of them have been restored.

We have used the finest materials:

• Paneling with chestnut wood. The beams are older than 200 years
• Blue slate flooring from quarries in Extremadura.
• Stone and mud walls which probably goes back to 15th century.
• All windows are insulated using double glazed windows.
• The roof was insulated using fiberglass tubes.
• They have preserved the original 60-cm-thick stone walls.
• Central Heating.

Additionally, tailored-made furniture and full equipment to make you feel at home.

• Hand towels: one for bathroom or service (weekly change).
• We have a cot at no extra cost, no linen. Please, check out availability.

Hiking trails on the farm, some of them over 15 km log. Barbecue in the garden and 20x7 m swimming pool.

Environment & Activities La Alberguería

Location:

Located in Cañamero (Cáceres), a beautiful village known for its fine wines. 3 min (5 km) from Cañamero and 6 min (10 km) from Guadalupe. Our location is the ideal starting point to visit the main cultural attractions in Extremadura, Cáceres (60 min) (monumental), Guadelupe (6 min) (Abbey), Mérida (60 min) (Roman city) and Trujillo (40 min) (Palaces and manor houses).

Within Villuercas region, one of the few havens left.

Within 15 minutes you can reach the area of the large reservoirs such as Cíjara, García-Sola and Orellana, where you can do water sports and go fishing.

The holiday cottage are located in a beautiful valley with spectacular views. The lack of light and atmospheric pollution make starry nights spectacular.

You can do a wide range of exciting activities such as hiking, horse riding guided tours, mountain biking and fishing.
