La Cabanya is a luxury and beautiful holiday rental villa with more than 700 years but reformed totally.
It's located in the village of Mata (in the heart of the Costa Brava) which is a quiet, safe neighbourhood in a privileged place since it lays between the sea and the mountains and the neighbours are very warm and friendly.

The house has got a capacity from 2 up to 6 people with two beautiful ensuite bedrooms with mattresses 100% of latex, a full equipped kitchen, an attic, a spacious living room with satellite television, DVD with "Home cinema" and a fireplace, a high-speed internet wifi, air-conditioning and central heating.

Outside, there is a private garden with swings and a little slide for children, a barbecue, a little wooden house with a kitchen for children, garden furniture, a pergola which is ideal for eating outside all year round, a nice private swimming pool (with saline treatment and totally automated) and a private parking for your car.

La Cabanya is a walking distance from shops and restaurants and a short drive from Banyoles lake (only 2 km.), 15 km. from Girona city, 25 km. from Girona's Airport, 35 km. from Costa Brava beaches and 115 km. from the Barcelona city.

Health, Beauty and Wellness: La Cabanya brings the world of the senses to you through a wide range of relaxing therapies where time stops and senses lead you to an exotic world of sensations. All services are offered by a professional licensed esthetician in the wellness room. All products are natural.

Location:

Located in the heart of the Pla de l'Estany, almost 200 metres high. Privileged place as it located between sea and mountains.

To the west, the Rocacorba Mountains, while in the north the majestic Pyrenees prevails.

Activities:

The ideal location of this holiday cottage allows for a variety of activities such as hiking and biking, the lake (estany), and places of natural interest. Or if you prefer, you can make various trips around the province, since we are in central Gerona.

We also offer activities around the home, such as horseriding, adventure sports, balloon flights, romantic dinners, massages, guided bike tours, sea kayaking excursions...

Owner's Comments La Cabanya

Hello! We are Xargay's family. La Cabanya belonged to Can Xargay and it was used to store the agricultural tools. In 2007 we decided to make it as a holiday rental villa.

Pere is a builder and he's a passionat man with his job. He rehabilitated and restored the house with all the details. He is the father of the family.

Dolors, a kind and tireless worker, prepares the house for you. She is the mother of the family but she's also the pillar of the house.

Raquel has got a chemical profession. She loves learning foreign languages but she also likes welcome you to the house and she explains to you all the activities that you can do in the area.

Sílvia is biologist, cheerful and hardworking. She's the middle sister.

Sandra is a great professional in the world of physiotherapy and aesthetics. She loves the relaxation and wellness. She will take care of you.

Finally, La Cabanya is a charming and romantic house especially dedicated to the families and couples. It is the first house in the province of Girona with the highest level of quality (5 keys) by the Catalonia government. The house is rented exclusively. The children will have fun. But what for adults? So while the kids have fun, we have a place for the wellness and disconnection: Can Xargay Inspira place, an ideal place to relax.
